Just wanted to share with you a nice little travelogue on the Philippines that dates back to 1960. Unfortunately, the narrative is in German but please don’t let that small inconvenience get in the way of enjoying nice color shots of the country from 50 years ago.
The travelogue was produced by Pan Am (short for Pan American Airways), the leading American airline back in those days. The video shows how short the jeepneys were at the time, the sights around Manila (specifically Escolta area around Jones Bridge and the Pasig River), the Philippine Military Academy in Baguio City, the Pagsanjan Falls, the Manila Hotel swimming pool, and Taal Volcano among others . Enjoy.
Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!

Das ist gut, Herr Panaderos.
You would believe that in the olden days, accommodations were all first class, back then. Judging from what you wrote in the past, I assume you cannot remember that far back. I note immediately how tame the roads appear.
I enjoy always the old footage you find. your posts are always a pleasure.
